Correction: Inaccurate analysis of total returns

In the Apr 1, 2008 post "Seat Belts Are Recommended," the second paragraph misrepresented the performance numbers re: leading and lagging asset classes for March vs. February 2008. The accompanying table of data was in fact correct in the original post. A corrected version for the text was published on April 2.

Correction: Spread between Treasuries in 1.25.08 post

In the Jan. 25, 2008 post "The Party in Bonds Rolls On," the yield spread between nominal and inflation-indexed Treasuries was initially misreported. The correct spread was 2.24%, as of the close of trading on Jan. 24, 2008--not the 1.44% as originally published.

Correction: Personal consumption expenditures data and history in 9.28.07 post

In the post "Spending Momentum" of Sep. 28, 2007, the monthly percentage change in August personal consumption expenditures was initially reported as rising 5.6% in August. In fact, it rose by 0.56%. Also, it was initially reported that the August rise in PCE was the highest since May 2007. In fact, it was the highest since April 2007.

Correction: Interest Rate Quoted in 8.29.07 post

In the post "Thank You, Sir, May I Have Another?" of Aug. 29, 2007, the 10-year Treasury yield was initially reported as falling to 5.43%. The yield was incorrect. In fact, the correct rate was 4.53%, the lowest in more than a year. The error was corrected on Aug. 30, 2007.
